Clement first became interested in programming as a high schooler competing in science fair competitions. However, since his high school was unable to offer computer science courses, he struggled to identify quality resources while in high school. Once he enrolled at UCLA, he started taking computer science courses as a way to be more competitive for physics internships. Ultimately, he switched his major over to computer science and currently works as a software engineer at PIMCO, an investment firm in Newport Beach, CA. Clement hopes to use his experiences in high school and college to streamline the process for students seeking to break into tech. Outside of work, Clement enjoys following sports, surfing the beaches of beautiful Newport Beach, and staying physically active.
